Child labor affects 168 million children around the world. It puts innocent kids at risk of danger, injury, or even death. Numerous nations continue to force kids to work in factories or in other settings. Regrettably, there are more boys than girls that are trapped in the dreadful conditions of child labor. The guiltless children are estimated to work twelve to sixteen hours a day.
Across the globe, children are working in extreme conditions to create garments, matches, and toys. Sixty percent of these children are working in agricultural settings such as farms, to create cocoa, harvest coffee beans, and pick crops or cotton. Children from the ages of 5 through 16 are being exposed to deadly fumes. Several types of machinery and fumes can injure or cause the children serious pain. Many of these kids work in restaurants or hotels instead of learning atschool. Seventy three million kids under 10 years old are put to work without being given instructions or support. When you walk into a hotel, don’t you normally see an adult carrying your bags or working behind the counter? However, in several places across the globe, children are doing these jobs! Studies have shown that child laborers continue to be employed in low paying jobs as adults.
